how to make brown butter

Hey there- my first video! I had a few questions on how to make brown butter, so here is a little tutorial, with pics if you don’t want to sit through the video. Brown butter has been in several recipes I’ve already posted, and will be in tomorrow’s as well. It’s one of my favorite ingredients and is much easier to make than it seems. Hope this helps-BB

what you need:

butter

a medium sized light colored ( not black bottomed) pot

medium sized metal bowl

a wooden spoon or spatula

to make:

Place the butter in the pot over medium heat to melt. Once melted, begin stirring frequently. The butter will start sizzling and then quickly begin to brown. Stir constantly, and once nicely browned, immediately remove from the heat and pour into a bowl to stop the cooking. Cool.
