Homemade whipped cream is incredibly easy and great on almost everything. This is a small batch, but it can be multiplied as many times as you need. I usually do small batches by hand and larger amounts in a stand mixer. If you want it a little sweeter, you can add another tablespoon of powdered sugar. For a boozy whipped cream add a tablespoon of rum or bourbon.
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whip by hand, or with a mixer to soft peaks.
